Glenville Ancestors

Playfair was my grandfather's family name. Have birth details of him plus three sisters all born in Ballybrack (Glenville) (writing not very clear on birth certificates). These were obtained at the Mormon family history library on microfilms of the records held in Dublin. Also his father's (James) address on marriage cert was the same. Wonder if there are any such names in the local CoI churchyard?
More research last week shows my great grandfather died in Glenville in 1879 aged 38 years. His widow remarried a Cpt Henderson who sadly drowned in Cork harbour (date unknown). My grandfather used to sing "The Bells of Shandon" throughout his life so, although living most of his adult life in Belfast, he must have always regarded himself as a 'Corkman'.

Anyone familiar with the name "Playfair" around Glenville. John Healy says one of them might have had a high position on the Estate?

I recently visited Lisselan Estate looking for information regarding my Grandfather. On my father's Birth Certificate it gives Lisselan as my Grandfather's address. I beleive that both my Grandfather and Grandmother worked at Lisselan as Butler and Maid before immigrating to Canada. Any old archive information regarding them would be greatly appreciated or perhaps a e-mail address for Mr. Jones himself. Their names were Thomas Rueben Shorter and Susan Dawkins. This would have been around 1907. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Fancy the Butler and Maid looking after the Bence Jones in 1907 - does Mark have any record of them?
